Work Vs Passion

For me, these two aspects often come into conflict with each other. What I am passionate about doesn't always generate sufficient income. Conversely, the work that brings in money is not always aligned with my passions. Sometimes, I find myself grappling with commissioned projects because my priority always lies in meeting my clients' requirements. Establishing trust and fostering good working relationships can be challenging unless the client truly comprehends my artistic vision. Nevertheless, I am grateful for all forms of support for my work.

Surviving solely by pursuing the type of art I am passionate about is not an easy feat, but I firmly believe it is achievable with perseverance. The key is to persist in doing what you love, honing your craft, and eventually someone will take notice. What started as a hobby has now become a serious pursuit for me. Beyond the work itself, what I cherish about my current endeavors is the flexibility to engage in meaningful projects with marginalized communities. Meeting people and providing encouragement not only enriches their lives but also offers me a profound perspective on life and helps me realize my purpose.

Ultimately, a sense of fulfillment in what I do is crucial. It is not solely measured in tangible outcomes but also encompasses intangible elements such as friendship, self-discovery, understanding my own identity, personal growth, bringing joy to people's lives, and continuous learning.

At times, I can become overly consumed by the desire to become a popular artist, to make money, or to amass thousands of followers, inadvertently losing sight of my true purpose. Therefore, it is vital for me to remain grounded in my self-awareness, comprehend the significance of my artistic pursuits, and nurture an unwavering passion for what I do. Consequently, my aspiration is to create art that is simple, relatable, humorous, meaningful, and radiates positivity.
